The Ceremony
Wildwood Oak, Sonoma Valley
At four in the afternoon, beneath a hundred-year-old oak, we will say out loud the words we have whispered for years. Bring your softest heart.

Join us in the Sonoma Valley as we marry, under the oaks, with everyone we love close by.
Everyone in this story is invited. Come early, stay late, and let us thank you in person for the part you played in getting us here.
Our story
Neither of us was looking for anything that afternoon. He was holding a book he had no intention of buying; I was only hiding from the rain. We have been in each other’s company nearly every day since, and next June we would like every one of you in the room when we say so out loud.

A formal invitation will follow closer to the time. For now all we ask is that you keep the weekend free — and perhaps look at flights early, because the valley fills up the moment the vines turn.

The Orangery, Wildwood Oak
One long table under the string lights, dinner that runs late, toasts from the people who knew us before we knew us, and dancing until the candles give out.

The Courtyard, Wildwood Oak
Coffee in the courtyard, the last of the flowers, and goodbyes we will keep putting off. Come whenever you wake — we will still be here.
Good to know
Black tie optional — long dresses, dark suits. The ceremony is on grass, so heels will sink. We have watched it happen, and we would much rather you danced.
We are holding rooms at the Wildwood Inn, five minutes from the house, and at the Sonoma Ledge in town. Mention our names when you book, before the first of March.
Fly into San Francisco or Oakland and drive ninety minutes north. Shuttles run from both hotels on Saturday afternoon, and bring everyone back at midnight.
We adore yours. This one is for grown-ups all the same, and there is a sitter at the Wildwood Inn if you would like an evening off.
You being in the room is the gift. If you insist on something more, the registry is in the menu — but please do not feel you must.
June in the valley is warm by day and cool the moment the sun drops behind the ridge. Bring something for your shoulders.
